PM - Outsourcing

1. Purpose and Scope

This SOP outlines the outsourcing practices used by LowCode Agency for specific tasks related to app publishing and testing. It applies to Project Managers overseeing projects that require these outsourced services.

2. Definitions

  • Google Play Console: The platform used to publish and manage Android apps on the Google Play Store.
  • Fiverr: An online marketplace for freelance services.
  • Glide: A no-code platform used for creating web and mobile applications.

3. Responsibilities

  • Project Manager: Responsible for identifying the need for outsourcing and initiating the process.
  • Operations Team: Oversees the relationship with freelancers and approves payments.

4. Requirements

  • Active project requiring app publication or testing

5. Procedure

5.1 Google Play Console Testing (for Individual Accounts)

  1. Determine if the client's Google Play Console account is registered as "Individual" or "Organization".
  2. If "Individual", proceed with the following steps: a. Access the approved Fiverr freelancer's profile for app testing services. b. Place an order for 20 testers to use the app for 14 consecutive days. c. Provide the freelancer with the necessary app details and access information. d. Monitor the testing process and collect feedback. e. Once completed, confirm the testing meets Google Play requirements.

5.2 App Store Publication (for Glide Apps)

  1. For Glide apps requiring publication to app stores: a. Access the approved Fiverr freelancer's profile for app publication services. b. Place an order for app store publication service. c. Provide the freelancer with the necessary app details, assets, and access to the Glide project. d. Monitor the publication process and address any issues that arise. e. Once published, verify the app is live on the respective app store(s).

6. Exceptions and Special Scenarios

  • For Google Play Console "Organization" accounts, the 14-day testing with 20 users is not required. Most clients opt for "Organization" accounts, so this outsourcing is not always necessary.
