Purpose:
To standardize the use of Komodo as a key asynchronous collaboration tool across all team roles, enabling efficient communication, documentation, and project progress tracking.
Scope:
Applies to Product Managers (PMs), Designers, Developers, and QA testers involved in project workflows.
How the Team Uses Komodo:
Product Managers (PMs):
Use Komodo to send evidence of bugs and fixes discovered during testing.
Create informative videos to clarify questions or provide comments for clients or developers.
Utilize Komodo’s transcript feature to generate Acceptance Criteria (ACs) for tasks efficiently.
Fundamentally use Komodo for asynchronous communication to maintain progress without scheduling conflicts.
Designers:
Record user flows to guide developers who work fully asynchronously, ensuring clear handoffs without live meetings.
Communicate complex questions visually through video to PMs, developers, or other designers for asynchronous review and feedback.
Developers:
Record test cases within the app, demonstrating functionality and sharing with QA testers to facilitate flow- or task-based testing.
Provide documented evidence of completed work for clear verification and transparency.
QA Testers:
Use Komodo to send evidence of bugs and issues found during testing.
Enable asynchronous bug reporting and collaboration with developers and PMs.
Best Practices:
Use Komodo’s video and transcription features to maximize clarity and reduce the need for synchronous meetings.
Keep recordings and evidence clear, concise, and well-labeled for easy reference.
Ensure timely sharing of videos and transcripts to support continuous workflow without delays.
Maintain respectful, constructive communication within all Komodo interactions to support productive collaboration.
Integrate Komodo usage consistently within the team’s workflow and task management processes.
This SOP promotes transparent, asynchronous collaboration using Komodo as a core tool tailored to the roles and responsibilities within the team. If needed, templates or quick guides on using Komodo’s key features can be developed for onboarding and training.
