Glide App Wireframes
Follow these rules to ensure efficiency and speed in the design process by keeping wireframes simple and focusing on what can be quickly edited directly in Glide.
1. Emphasize Speed and Efficiency
- Core Principle: We sell our speed and efficiency.
- Low-fi Approach: Prioritize low-fidelity designs to facilitate quick changes directly in Glide.
2. Simplified Wireframes
- No Logos: Exclude logos from wireframes.
- Minimal Navigation Tabs: Do not include all tabs for navigation on all screens.
- Default Colors: Use default component colors for buttons and navigation.
- Selective Use of Colors: Only use specific colors if absolutely necessary.
3. Golden Rule
- Efficiency Rule: If it takes longer to edit in Whimsical than in Glide, omit it from the wireframe.
4. Process Guidelines
- Initial Design: Create a basic structure in Whimsical with essential components only.
- Review and Adjust: Evaluate if elements are easier to implement directly in Glide.
- Direct Implementation: Prefer making design changes in Glide when possible for faster iterations.
5. Regular Review
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update this process to ensure ongoing efficiency.
- Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from the team to refine the approach.
We do NOT do High Fidelity Wireframes for Glide Apps.
The most important thing to keep in mind is to focus on core functionality and (overall) layout.
