Due Dates

Think of LowCode like a precisely synchronized machine or a clock, if one deadline isn't met the entire mechanism falls.

  • ❗If you're assigned to a task, the deadline is YOUR responsibility
  • ❗ If you need to change a due date, inform your PM ASAP and add it as a comment in the corresponding Plutio task.
  • ❗AND whenever you don't meet a timeline, you must justify why on the corresponding task, re-prioritizing at the right time is key to avoiding a big snowball.
  • ❗Your failure to meet deadline, doesn't just affect you; it affects the entire team.

Why are due dates important?

  1. Alignment and Coordination: Due dates help in aligning efforts across different teams or individuals working on interconnected tasks. They ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding project timelines and milestones.
  2. Prioritization: Clear due dates assist in prioritizing tasks effectively. When tasks have deadlines, it becomes easier to determine which tasks should be tackled first, based on their importance and urgency.
  3. Accountability: Setting due dates creates a sense of accountability among team members. It provides a clear expectation of when tasks are expected to be completed, making it easier to hold individuals responsible for meeting those deadlines.
  4. Efficiency: Having deadlines encourages efficiency and helps prevent procrastination. When tasks have a defined endpoint, it motivates individuals to work more diligently to meet those deadlines, leading to better productivity and output.
  5. Client Expectations: In client-facing projects, due dates are often tied to contractual agreements or client expectations. Meeting these deadlines is crucial for maintaining client satisfaction and trust.
  6. Resource Planning: Clear due dates facilitate better resource planning. They allow teams to allocate resources such as manpower, budget, and equipment more efficiently, ensuring that they are available when needed to meet project milestones.

Overall, due dates play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of projects, promoting accountability, and driving productivity and efficiency within teams.
