Business Analyst (Trainee PM)
Key Responsibilities
Client Needs Assessment
- Collaborate with PMs to gather and analyze client requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of the project’s goals and objectives.
- Participate in discovery calls and meetings with clients to capture key business processes and workflows.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical requirements for the development team.
Documentation and Process Improvement
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirement specs,, workflows, and user stories, to ensure alignment across the team.
- Document the output of client calls led by the PM, capturing key action items and listing any resources needed, enabling PMs to focus on client interaction.
- Assist in the development of project scopes, timelines, and budgets by providing detailed analysis and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within projects, recommending solutions that enhance efficiency and deliverable quality.
Support to Project Management
- Act as the primary responsible for managing Plutio in support of PMs, handling notifications and backend organization while PMs focus on client-facing activities.
- Provide ongoing support to PMs by tracking project milestones, gathering client feedback, and assisting in resolving any roadblocks that arise during development.
- Help in preparing and conducting presentations, project updates, and reviews for clients.
- Act as a liaison between the PMs, clients, and the development team to ensure clear communication and understanding throughout the project lifecycle.
- Gather necessary resources from the client, ensuring all project materials are available for timely execution.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze project data, such as timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to identify trends and areas for optimization.
- Generate regular reports for PMs to inform project status and guide decision-making.
Career Development
As part of the company’s career development program, the Business Analyst will receive ongoing training and mentorship, with the goal of transitioning into a Project Manager role as they gain experience and expertise.
Requirements
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or a related field within a technology or software development environment.
- Experience with IT, low-code/no-code platforms (such as Glide, Bubble, Flutterflow) is a plus but not required.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Advance English level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously working remotely.
- Strong self-management abilities for remote work, capable of independently prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and coordinating across time zones for seamless global team collaboration.
Tools
- Proficient in documentation and workflow tools such as Confluence, Lucidchart, or Visio.
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, project management tools (such as Monday, Jira, Asana, or Trello) and no-code/low-code platforms (including Glide, Bubble, Flutterflow, Webflow, and Whimsical for wireframing).
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools, such as Excel or Google Sheets, is preferred.
- Proficient in using remote communication tools such as Slack, Gmail, Plutio, or similar platforms.
KPIs and Metrics
Requirements Accuracy
- Percentage of project milestones achieved on the first attempt without requiring significant adjustments, demonstrating effective initial communication and understanding.
- Client feedback on the clarity and completeness of requirements.
Project Support Efficiency
- Time to resolve project roadblocks and issues.
- Number of completed documentation items (requirements specs, user stories) within established deadlines.
Process Improvement
- Identification of potential process enhancements that lead to time or cost savings.
- Implementation rate of recommended improvements across projects.
Career Development Metrics
- Completion of training modules and mentorship milestones aimed at transitioning to a PM role.
- Performance feedback from PMs and development teams on the BA’s contributions to project success.
