Content Creator / Copywriter
Position overview: The Content Writer is responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and informative content that aligns with the company’s marketing goals and SEO strategies. Working closely with the SEO, design, and development teams, the Content Writer ensures that all materials are accurate, relevant, and tailored to the intended audience. The role involves researching, drafting, and delivering a variety of content types, including blog posts, case studies, and social media updates.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Write, edit, and deliver content for blogs, case studies, and social media platforms (Twitter and LinkedIn) based on outlines provided by the SEO team; and additional research conducted by the content writer.
- Ensure content is engaging, clear, and optimized for the target audience while adhering to the company’s tone of voice.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with the SEO team to align content with SEO best practices and keyword strategies.
- Work with the design team to ensure that visual elements complement the written content effectively.
- Coordinate with developers and internal technical experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of technical content.
Research
- Conduct thorough research on assigned topics using resources like Google, internal documents, and interviews with developers or other subject-matter experts.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant insights into the content.
Content Review
- Cross-check all content with relevant stakeholders, including the development team and designated reviewers, to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Iterate on content based on feedback from SEO, design, and other team members.
Requirements
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or a similar role.
- Experience creating technical or industry-specific content is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong research and writing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and experience in incorporating keywords effectively.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Tools:
- Proficiency with Google Docs and collaborative tools.
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude.ai for drafting and idea generation.
KPIs and Metrics
Content Quality
- Feedback scores from SEO, design, and development teams.
- Readability and engagement rates for published blogs and social media posts.
